bebehblog Ring sling success! Took the kids to Mystic for lunch, ice cream, playground and shopping. Not a single person tried to touch my baby. #6daysold #mayaringsling 11h
  •   erniebufflo Ring slings rock! 10h
  •   mamacase 10h
  •   amandasheren I've never gotten to try one (my son is 21 months old and just about 30 pounds now) but I went through so many other carriers until I found my ergo (which is my gold standard! Lol). I tired and didn't care for: a seven sling (not worth the free offer IMO), a moby (too hot and cumbersome), a baby bjorn (not good for baby's hips), and a baby k'tan (which admittedly this one is my fault as I purchased it before my son was born and it was too big once I had him so wasn't appropriate to carry him in it). But if I can learn how to use one (I'm totally hitting up YouTube and my local cloth diaper store!) then I really really want to try it out. I'm interested in hip carrying my toddler though and don't care for how the ergo does that (too much adjusting straps) so I might just try to get a ring sling before I have another kiddo. What brand do you recommend most? 9h
  •   bebehblog @amandasheren I own/owned all those too, besides the K'tan. My sling is a Maya I bought 5 years ago and I still like a lot, but there are some gorgeous brands & people who sew and sell them. @erniebufflo makes them (I think? Maybe? Sarah?) and I'm always envious of the @lovesakurabloom slings. So pretty. 9h
  •   f_a_h @amandasheren I'd recommend a wrap conversion. It's made out of a woven wrap and will be more supportive for a toddler. There are babywearing swaps on FB where you can find them usually. Comfy Joey also makes a toddler width one as do some other makers of you want a specific retailer. 9h
  •   nicselfwhite 9h
  •   erniebufflo @bebehblog @amandasheren I used to make them until I learned about all the laws around selling baby products. HOWEVER, if you can sew a straight line and have access to a sewing machine, you can make a really nice sling with two yards of linen and some rings from sling rings.com. There are lots of great tutorials. Otherwise, look at Etsy. There are also some slings on Zulily today. And Sleeping Baby Productions is a maker as well as the creator of the first tutorial I used before creating my own method. I see no reason why a sling should cost what Sakura Bloom charges. 7h
  •   amandasheren You all rock! Thank you for the suggestions and helpful information. I am looking into all of it right now :) 6h

bebehblog Working on his tan (just a little jaundiced, we're back in the hospital for a day or two). Send iced coffee and pizza. 3d
  •   fionnualadh Oh poor peanut, poor mama. Stay strong. 3d
  •   mama_kat I'm still surprised none of my kids needed to go under the lights. I thought they were all so yellow but the docs were all "nah, they're fine" but still looking back on pics I'm still surprised. 3d
  •   bebehblog @mama_kat My first had the same levels but instead of putting him under lights they just scolded me a lot for not nursing enough and made us come in 2x a day for blood tests. The lights are actually way less awful. And they're letting me stay in the room. 3d
  •   mama_kat It's nice that you were able to go home for a day or so and see everyone, then go back up. 3d
  •   liz_e34 3d
  •   thatnataliedawn Olivia was the only one who had to do light therapy, but both were jaundiced. I was lucky in that I could take the billyblankets (billiblankets?) home with me & they sent a nurse daily to weigh & take blood. At the time it was so stressful & I felt like I had done something wrong, so few pictures exist of the process. I was stupid, yours are awesome & hopefully you aren't too stressed. Xoxo 3d
  •   emily_bilbrey Poppy had to be a glowworm for 3 days! We got/had to do it at home, though... Hang in there! Hope your sweet boy gets those bili levels down stat! 3d
  •   jayme_kubo Dylan was Coombs positive when she was born, so she had to have the light therapy in the hospital and at home for a few days, even though her levels weren't abnormally high. Olive nursed and pooped pretty much nonstop from the moment she was born, so she avoided the whole shebang. Hope you and sweet Linc get to go home soon 3d

  •   madreminutes You can get a portable billy light it lay them in a sunny place with diaper open to expose as much as possible. Also give some water to help flush liver. At least that's how we rocked jaundice 29 years ago. 3d
  •   theotherlw What a sweet sleepy baby. 3d
  •   bohomamasoul Henry had to sit in the suitcase for the first 24 hours at home. I'm sorry you have to go back, mama. 3d
  •   jayme_kubo OMG, Linc has his own emoji 3d

bebehblog We made Caroline's day by finding her some real life horses, ponies and donkeys to visit. 1w
  •   mamainlalaland You will be blessed with the best baby ever when he or she comes out! It owes you that much!!! 1w
  •   mamadurso @mamainlalaland has is it right. My third made me wait nine long days past my due date. And she's the easiest baby ever!! 1w
  •   jnenm What @mamainlalaland said! 1w
  •   jen_schoeph You are 1. The best mother ever and 2. A saint. Baby #3 will be a cake walk! 1w
  •   kiki_dawn325 You sucked me in with the @babyrabies post. They are cute kids! Good luck with number 3! Also. Sending tons of "get here fast baby" thoughts. 1w
  •   justjackir I am stalking your Instagram feed. Also you're mom of the year 1w
  •   danileighreyes Just read your @babyrabies post and I'm hooked. I also liked 198448 of your pictures. That is an exact number and definitely not at all arbitrary. 1w
  •   therealktcouture LADY! You're out and about?! Jeez. Saint. When I was 40 weeks 5 days, I was at home with Braxton Hicks and pretending like they were 'real' contractions so I could maybe just go to the hospital and get it over with. Good for you - best momma to her big kiddos!! :) 1w

bebehblog Lobster rolls for Mormor's birthday. Trying to convince the baby it's a good day to be born. 1w
  •   stephaniedulli Come ooooouuuut. COME OUT. 1w
  •   stephaniedulli Also I've never had a lobster roll. 1w
  •   bebehblog @stephaniedulli Lobster rolls are delicious in general, but Abbott's is listed in the top 5 lobster places every year. SO GOOD. 1w
  •   kittyconner Not that logic works with an inside baby (or an outside baby) (Or babies and people in general, regardless of uterine location), but maybe a talk about how sharing Mormor's birthday means being the (totally secret) favorite grandchild will encourage the getting out part? 1w

  •   simplystavish man come on baby!! 2w
  •   gingerkew If you have your baby today (the 19th, not much of it left here) he'll be 11 years, 11 days younger than one of mine. I assume that's all you've been waiting for so crack on. :-) 1w
