baltimoresun Good morning from what some people call the Washington Herald.

All caught up on #HouseofCards yet? Our media/TV critic says it is still totally binge-worthy, but don't worry - we won't spoil the ending for you. #Baltimore

baltimoresun #Maryland spends $17 million to incarcerate 458 residents of a single #WestBaltimore neighborhood: #Sandtown-Winchester. The neighborhood has the most people held in state prisons than any other neighborhood according to a report by the Justice Policy Institute & Prison Policy Institute. -- Kim Hairston, #BaltimoreSun #baltimore 21h
  •   leroy.james So what's the solution?! What's the point of such statement?! 458 people have robed the community of Sandtown; lowing property value and wasting tax payer dollars as free citizen but the will continue to do so behind bars! Baltimore will for ever be in a decaying, poverty stricken city. 17h
  •   tiffanymro So crime is high in the neighborhood? Don't break the law and you won't get locked up!! 12h
  •   kub75 I have no sympathy for these 458 people. It sounds like a terrible part of the city, anf they helped ruin it. These 458 people are just part of a larger problem the city has in retaining it's people, or attracting new ones to its neighborhoods. People like that drive down property values and make parts of the city off limits. The solution seems to be locking up more of them 3h

baltimoresun Unforgettable love: Alzheimer's has robbed Joy Glass of her sharp wit. But it can't keep away her husband. Martin Glass has been married to Joy for more than 50 years and each day, Martin drives to the assisted living facility to feed his 73-year-old wife her meals. "I've probably told her I loved her and kissed her more since she's been here than I ever have before," Glass said. Read more: bsun.md/unforgettable 2w

baltimoresun Baltimore's longest unbroken line of rowhouses is the 2600 block of Wilkens Avenue — the Mill Hill Deck of Cards. When the house numbers approached 2700, the builder had to resort to half numbers. Built in 1912 the houses were originally sold for$1,250 each. Want to see the rowhomes in 1948? baltimoresun #Baltimore is a city of #neighborhoods, many of which have signs announcing entry into those areas. Our staff has taken pictures of a handful of neighborhood signs in the city, but we need your help to fill in the blanks. Click through the gallery at the link in our bio, and if there’s a sign you know of that’s missing, take the picture, tag us and tag it #bmoresigns.
For those without signs, a flag, banner, mural or iconic location will do.
