bakingbecks Week 2 of GGBO Technical bake along. This Sunday has found me baking my way through the lengthy but definitely rewarding process of making Arlettes! I have to say im not a fan of the time consuming pastry work and I was losing heart (I actually forgot about them for an hour at one point in the chill-fold-chill process ) but now im testing them with a brew I can attest they are worth the effort! 3w

bakingbecks Keep thinking about the Dinner we had at the #theterrace in #Saltaire this week. It was a lovely meal with my Aunt & Uncle. I had the Persian Lamb with feta, pickled onions, harrissa mayo & flatbreads. It was delicious, as was the Tarte Citroen. I cant recommend it highly enough! X 3w

bakingbecks Sundays are made for baking. Today was the first technical bake from this years Great British Bake off, Frosted Walnut Layer Cake. I used the recipe from Mary Berry's Baking Bible which is a little different from the one she gave the contestants on the show. Different or not its going down well! 4w

bakingbecks This is Pu'u Pehe or Sweetheart Rock just outside Hulopo'e Bay on the island of Lānaʻi. The rock has several romantic Hawaiian legends surrounding it. This is one of the spots where we went snorkeling and it was absolutely stunning. Clear blue water with a multitude of fish! #nofilterneeded 4mon
