bakingbecks I thought I was going to have last minute visitors today so I made a batch of @lisafaulknercooks Sunshine Shorties at high speed. If they can help Lisa pass her Brownie hostess badge they would make my guests feel welcome! Turns out they weren't able to stop by so now I have a whole batch just for me 3w

bakingbecks A #Latergram and slightly dodgy photo of the baby shower cake I made for my pal. She wanted a carrot cake because she has excellent choice in cakes! 2mon

bakingbecks Today I made these lil snowmen biscuits for a children's Christmas party. I'm not very good at faces I feel my snowman looks like a despotic general readying his chilly troops for an invasion! 2mon

bakingbecks Its an Alpaca, well iv tried to make an alpaca out of cream cheese frosting and nutmeg but it looks a little wonky! Today is my cousins wedding where they will be having a dessert table! @rachthornts has made a Raspberry Bakewell Cake with bunting and I've made the Autumn Spiced Pumpkin & Beetroot Cake with love and a wonky alpaca on top! 4mon

bakingbecks Last night i made a Parkin, I have no idea why i made it in a round tin. Im not sure it counts as Parkin in a round tin? Either way it has made the house smell awesome and iv stuck it in my inappropriately festive tin to get sticky for a few day.
I live Autumn baking

bakingbecks Today iv made a batch of one of my Gran's recipes, the perfect for Autumn - Sponge Moggy.
Don't worry no Kitties where harmed in the making of this super simple of lightly ginger flavoured sponge!
Sponge Moggy is a Yorkshire recipe, iv never seen it anywhere else. Its nice as a slice with a brew but brilliant with custard warm from the oven.

bakingbecks Week 2 of GGBO Technical bake along. This Sunday has found me baking my way through the lengthy but definitely rewarding process of making Arlettes! I have to say im not a fan of the time consuming pastry work and I was losing heart (I actually forgot about them for an hour at one point in the chill-fold-chill process ) but now im testing them with a brew I can attest they are worth the effort! 6mon

bakingbecks Keep thinking about the Dinner we had at the #theterrace in #Saltaire this week. It was a lovely meal with my Aunt & Uncle. I had the Persian Lamb with feta, pickled onions, harrissa mayo & flatbreads. It was delicious, as was the Tarte Citroen. I cant recommend it highly enough! X 6mon

bakingbecks Sundays are made for baking. Today was the first technical bake from this years Great British Bake off, Frosted Walnut Layer Cake. I used the recipe from Mary Berry's Baking Bible which is a little different from the one she gave the contestants on the show. Different or not its going down well! 6mon

Today is chia seed, nectarine, dried dates and cheery and i think it's a winner! @rachthornts yours is in the fridge x 8mon
