ashleelovesart Big batch of #protein zucchini pancakes..!! I'll keep half in the freezer, and break them out when all my food is gone, and I'm hungry, because I've been running an hour a day..!! I can't give you the recipe bc I winged it this time (better than ever!), but I can say these are the ingredients:

3 zucchinis, 1 red onion, liquid egg whites, 1 egg, quinoa flakes, oat flour, 1 tsp baking soda, salt & garlic powder, 2 scoops unflavored whey protein... Butter.
Can't wait to try this method with other foods..!! In food processor, grate veggies; put in large bowl. Add about 1/2 c.-3/4 c. Egg whites, plus one lightly beaten egg. Stir well, and add quinoa flakes, oat flour, baking soda, protein powder. Should make a "batter". Then fry them up in butter in a medium high pan, just like regular pancakes!!

ashleelovesart Cauliflower soup... Easiest thing in the world to make. I add a scoop of protein, to give it that #bloodsugarbalance
Wash and core a head of cauliflower (be sure to remove the stems, as they can taste bitter). Put florets into a large pot and add water until just covered. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to medium. Add 3 TBS of Better Than Bouillon chicken stock (that's the secret for the flavor). Cook cauliflower in chicken stock until thoroughly soft. Remove from heat. Purée with an immersion blender. Add a scoop of non-flavored protein. Blend again. Voila! Well balanced veggies and protein. #bloodsugar #fitfam #cleaneats #cleaneating

ashleelovesart My perfectly balanced and healthy little soldiers! I call them power balls. I make big batches and freeze, although they never seem to last long. I also really make it up as I go, but I'll do my best to share a recipe. You basically have a cooked, puréed veggie mixture to which you add egg, and then meat; and then you add the dry breadcrumb element.
Start by cooking your veggies according to their respective cook times (so they cook evenly), in a pan with olive oil...get crazy! But I find you can't go wrong with mushrooms, onions, and greens. For this batch I used: onion, mushroom, kale, spinach, carrot, ginger, salt... Then purée in food processor with feta cheese... Dump in a large mixing bowl.
Add 2 lightly beaten eggs, plus 1/4 egg whites (this is your binder) and gently mix.
Add a package of lean ground meat (I use turkey), season with salt and garlic powder, and gently combine with the veggies/feta/egg mixture (it should be a bit "wet"). Then add your dry ingredients until you can form them into balls about a TBS big each. The quinoa flakes worked great!! But I've also used panko breadcrumbs. I use parchment paper for easy cleanup, and spray it with nonstick canola oil.

Make your soldiers! And pop 'em in the oven at 400F for 20 minutes, or until lightly browned on bottom.

ashleelovesart #lifehack: I need to eat every 2-3 hours. And when I'm exercising and eating properly, that means I start within 1-2 hours of waking up. I have sensitive #bloodsugar so this can really send me on a downward trend for the day, or keep me conquering all day long. Yes. It says it's baby food. But I just call it a #smoothieonthego!! #smoothie. Tastes great, and lasts in the fridge or pantry for ages. They're about a dollar each, and under 100 calories usually. #plumorganics 2mon
