ansies Roma takes it to a whole new level doesn't it. A bit travel weary now, all bugging each other, but holy moly who can resist her charms.. 1d

ansies This was seriously about 1/4 of the view from where we had our 2nd (shh) lunch today in Panzona in Chianti. iPhone can't do it justice..🌲 3d

ansies Manarola, Cinque Terre, Italy 1w
  •   ansies @3zwinkern crazy good view, I took so many photos as did all the other 100s of tourists, but why wouldn't you? 7d
  •   ansies @watersheddesign the colour is just gorgeous, sometimes I have to stop taking photos to take it all in! 7d
  •   ansies @deborah.brandon #absolutely 7d
  •   ansies @paraparap a girl can't help it! X 7d
  •   sulphurcrested I had some of the best food of my life in Cinque Terre. There was something magical about this place when I visited ten or so years ago. I hope you are still loving soaking up all of these gems Anna. 4d
  •   ansies @sulphurcrested yes I agree ️. Getting a bit weary now, a few days in Roma and then home. It's been absolutely Amazeballs! 3d
  •   sejkko I love this sort of landscape Anna - all these wee houses sort of getting close together to see the ocean 2d
  •   ansies @sejkko thanks so much for the visit.. Yes they are all hanging on to each other 2d

ansies Billie felt like this tomb was in need of some decoration. I'm sure the handsome gentleman appreciated it. 1w
  •   ansies @3zwinkern yes! Although half way down the hill she wanted it back hahaha 1w
  •   ansies @carolynssmile oh is it?! Many thanks. Haha I've never really understood what they are. Even googled it once. What's your understanding? 1w
  •   ansies @zulu2 see comment above.. Mark had to go back up hill for it. 1w
  •   zulu2 HAHAHAHAHA funny Billie 1w
  •   deborah.brandon Beautiful! 1w
  •   ansies @deborah.brandon as soon as I took it you popped into my head Deb 7d
  •   carolynssmile 'Vignette' to me is just a little view or cropped view of something. In IG land it seems to refer to an assemblage of things - I thought this pic was a bit of both 1d
  •   ansies @carolynssmile yes it's an interesting word, I've had another google. I like the use of it in film terms. As you said a little view of something that depicts a lot about the subject.. In art or picture terms it also mentions the darkening of edges. Which I did a bit of here.. In photo editing apps the word is used in this way. Not sure how the assemblage thing started. Maybe a bunch of things depicts the bigger picture of someones situation.. 1d

  •   craftschooloz What a clever girl - I used to bribe mine with magic stones to hold which would give them magic powers to help them climb! 1w
  •   ansies @craftschooloz haha love it ruth. Yes I think it was timed right. Needed help on way down though, which involved singing songs 1w

ansies Billie and I went exploring the maze of stairs between storms 1w
  •   littlepennypocket oh no, the rains got to you too! it's been dry here all day, so hopefully the weather will clear there as well. 1w
  •   ansies Si! Lots of rain today. The stream runs under the main 'street'. You can see it through big drain grills. Flowing very loudly and ferociously now. It's been a wierd kind of day here, bit of stress from the locals I think because of the trauma still around from bad floods in 2011. Some sand bags around shops tonight and put in place to direct water flow. I think tomorrow is ok then bad storms again on Monday. 1w
  •   littlepennypocket we went down to where it flooded close to the centre of the city - covered in mud and debris. so many tiny shops have their wares set out on the footpath as their stores have been ruined and it was really quite sad. I can understand the locals concerns, having seen the coverage in the paper today. hopefully it doesn't hit too badly further along the coast! 1w
  •   watersheddesign Oh dear, sounds a bit serious. All those old buildings perched on the side of mountains - they look precarious but I guess they've lasted 100s of years. 1w
  •   cckarpesclan Can only imagine how beautiful it is there 1w
