anniebjones05 "People need to read, as much as they need flowers." - Jay Snodgrass, who wrote this poem just for me during #indiebookstoreday. My feet hurt, but it's been a really lovely day. 4d

anniebjones05 I could not put this book down. It's FATES AND FURIES meets THE NEST meets SEATING ARRANGEMENTS, and it's just beautifully written and utterly compelling. After a few decidedly "meh" titles, this one kind of came to the rescue. Highly recommend (obviously). 6d

anniebjones05 I feel like this picture from my mom's party on Saturday accurately portrays our relationship: Jordan waxing philosophical about something and me laughing hysterically. (: @astudyinchris) 1w

anniebjones05 The book I've been reading this week hasn't necessarily been one of my favorites, but this thought about joy made me stop in my tracks: "The grain of it doesn't tell you anything about its volume." (Emma Rathbone, LOSING IT, coming out in July.) 2w
  •   crollwagen Let me know if it gets better -- it irritated me at first and I put it down. (Beautiful sentence/sentiment though.) 2w
  •   anniebjones05 @crollwagen it doesn't get better... Don't bother... 😑 2w

anniebjones05 It feels at this moment as if I never will have a vacation ever again, so I'm just going to keep staring at this beautiful view from last weekend's wedding. #tbt 4w

anniebjones05 Words keep failing me, so I'll say this: Entrepreneurship has its ups and downs, but this? This is an up. (Thanks, @southernlivingmag, and thanks, @crollwagen. You've made my day.) #sl50 1mon

anniebjones05 After a reading rut, I always wonder if I'm judging a book too harshly. Then I read a book like this and know I'm not. 1mon
  •   anniebjones05 @huntermcl1993 Walt or The Passenger next? 1mon
  •   huntermcl1993 Someone just gifted me The Passenger (which I'm really excited for), so I want to say that. But I also want you to read Walt, because I need to discuss it with you, like...now. If I were to choose for you, I'd say Walt, so we can read The Passenger around the same time and discuss it. I'm probably going to read The Nest in the next few weeks, too. 1mon
  •   hanlstovall @huntermcl1993 what is this Walt y'all speak of? 1mon
  •   huntermcl1993 @hanlstovall it's an upcoming thriller, about a man who works as a janitor at a shopping center, and stalks patrons by finding their shopping lists. It's coming out on June 14. 1mon

anniebjones05 "He loved them to the end." Maundy Thursday might be my favorite day on the liturgical calendar. It's bitter and sweet -- a call to humility when the world screams for everything but. 1mon
  •   artandstole My favorite too. The Great Vigil of Easter is a very close second. 1mon
  •   anniebjones05 @artandstole Just scrolling through Instagram and found this comment! We went to our first-ever Great Vigil of Easter, and it was absolutely lovely. I had no idea. I think it's now up there for one of my favorites, too. 2w
