amy_donovan Crazy simple (+ mighty delicious) Slow-Cooker Green Curry Chicken + Cauliflower! So simple that I'm just going to post the recipe below rather than blog about it. 17h
  •   amy_donovan Recipe: Combine 1.5 lbs boneless/skinless chicken breasts, 1.5 cups green curry sauce (I used Trader Joe's Thai Green Curry Simmer Sauce) + the florets of 1 small cauliflower in a slow-cooker. Cook on LOW for 5 hours. Remove the chicken, shred into large pieces + return to the slow-cooker along with 1 cup frozen peas. Stir, cover, + cook for 30 minutes more. Serve with hot buttered rice + naan. NOM. 17h
  •   amy_donovan Oh, and throw some sliced green onions on there if you want it to look far fancier than it is. =) 17h

amy_donovan Clean-out-the-fridge dinner, featuring leftover honeybaked ham. Diced + sautéed it, then made a tortellini 'carbonara' of sorts for my husband, and a curried potato, ham, + veg stirfy for myself. All using stuff already in the house. Leftovers for the win! 2w

amy_donovan Tonight I hosted an au pair Thanksgiving potluck dinner for the 30 au pairs in my local group. SO much fun - fantastic food + a great group. Love it when I can combine things I love: cooking, hosting parties + the au pair program. 2w
  •   apayne_17 looks like a huge success! a *delicious* huge success! 2w
  •   amy_donovan And here's the food, in case you're curious! Everything the au pairs brought was 100% homemade. Some went with traditional American fare, while others made things from their home countries. Clockwise from top left: roasted turkey breast, honeybaked ham, homemade honey-wheat bread, deviled eggs, gravy, pierogis with vegetables, chinese julienned potatoes, green bean casserole, leek/mushroom/hazelnut stuffing, German potato gratin, pasta salad with chickpeas, pumpkin cookies, pumpkin pie, Polish apple pie, cinnamon rolls. =) And this wasn't even all of it! Related: I'm really really full. 2w
  •   ramblingmom Mmmmm that is amazing! 2w
  •   amy_donovan @apayne_17 So so fun! And super delish. 2w

amy_donovan Nashville, you gotta check out @TheSutler! We did the family-style Grass Fed Sundays tonight + it was AMAZING! Whole smoked chicken, pit-loaded smoked mac + cheese, & Brussels sprouts hash with whipped Yukon golds. Seriously the best meal I've had in a while! 1mon
  •   amy_donovan Plus there was fantastic live bluegrass music + it was totally kid-friendly. I'm now obsessed with this place. 1mon
  •   tjwilbur Okay, between you & @betheats, I'm convinced we need to take A and try it out. It's so hard to find delicious AND kid-friendly these days! Every Sunday right? 1mon
  •   amy_donovan @tjwilbur - Yes! Starts at 4:30 PM. Not sure if reservations are needed, but we did make one (for 5:15 PM) and when we left around 7 it was full. Fixed-price family-style meal includes the main dish + 3 sides (I forgot to mention the dressing under the chicken) + I believe the cost varies slightly every week depending on how schfancy the main dish is. =) Perfectly fed 4 of us plus the tiny human. Really, the experience and food could not have been better! 1mon
  •   betheats Yes!!! Aren't those Brussels sprouts / Yukon golds awesome??? 1mon
  •   amy_donovan @betheats Uh, INSANE! 1mon
  •   apayne_17 ditto to @betheats - had to chime in on that mash. it was the highlight of my meal there! 1mon
  •   everyoneneedsajess That sounds amazing! 1mon
