alliegirl22 I saw "All the President's Men" when I was 17 in my first-ever journalism class (a la Bowne.) I remember being fascinated -- and still am -- by the politics, corruption, and intense, dedicated and cut-throat reporting that it recounted. It was then when I think I started to truly understand all that journalism was capable of -- and Watergate has fascinated me ever since.

And tonight, on the eve of the 40th anniversary of President Nixon's resignation, I had the fortune of seeing Carl Bernstein speak on a Nixon-themed panel. What a great, full-circle way to wrap up "My DC Summer." What a wonderful time it's been.

Oh, and he told us that NPR is "a good place to be." We smiled.
