alilues Morning glory. Buckwheat and hemp milk, chai (eventhough it turned out to be veeeery little...) salsa with dill i've prepared last night so today it would have "soaked" (it was perfect! Had it for breakfast) and cilantro-walnut-parsley-pesto i made out of last weeks leftover herbs - i invited dome friends over for a mezze dinmer and made loads of herby stuff, like fattoush and babaghanoug so i had bought tons of cilantro, parsley, mint and dill- still i had leftovers. #vegansofig #veganfoodshare #eatarainbow #healthybreakfast 2mon

alilues Just strained this wonderful #gf #vegan buckwheat milk with dates and argan oil. Yumm... I used to make almond milk but wanted a homemade alternative to store-bought oatly... So here we are, not with oat, but with buckwheat ! Too bad I can't find my wonderful milk bottle I got from @thesimple.things @colourfultravels and Ike.... :/ 3mon

alilues As you might know, I work in a vegan supermarket. So when stuff like veg is on the edge of going bad and doesn't look so crisp and fresh anymore, we can take it home, so it's not gonna be thrown away- other than in "normal" supermarkets, where it's forbidden for the employees to take the "bad" stuff with them, and when you "steal" stuff from their garbage (fruit&veg that is actually still very good but doesn't look pretty enough to be sold or doesn't have the right size and form even!) you can go to jail.
So the other day there was a looot of food in the take-home basket, that I took a bit of with me (like 5 zucchini, a yellow bell pepper, parsley, dill, an eggplant, vegan cheese, and passion fruit, oranges, beet root, carrots,...) and today I made a wonderful spread of some it. I had wanted to make baba ganoush for quite a while, the way my mum used to.make it, the way she learned it in Syria when she used to live there. They use pomegranate instead of tahin and a lot of cilantro, which makes it a fresh and delightful alternative to.the heavier Egyptian version.

So instead of the pomegranate I used the passion fruit which was too sour to eat it as it was.
What I did was:
Make a sauce of olive oil, lemon, salt, pepper and a bit of liquid smoke and put it on
2 zucchini
The eggplant
And the bell pepper
And grill them

Afterwards I pureed them with some more oil, the passion fruit pulp, the dill, parsley, cilantro and some lemon juice and some spring onion. And that was it. It tastes.amazing and the bell pepper gives it super much sweetness (in a good, smokey way). And this is how you use stuff up instead of throwing it away. #sustainablecooking #veganfoodshare #arabvegan

alilues Super easy #vegan mousse au Chocolat for my mum's bday brunch.

400gr Silken Tofu
200gr dark chocolate
Some extra sugar if needed
Some vegan whipped cream (if desired, depends on if you prefer milk or like dark chocolate)
1 package of agaragar or agartine (vegan gelatine substitute)
Blend the tofu until creamy, add melted chocolate and prepared agaragar (boil w/ 100ml of water) and sugar and blend again. If you like you can carefully add the whipped cream to the mousse to make it more fluffy.

alilues #vegan spreads my mum made for her birthday brunch. So proud of her :) all her friends said it was amazing and even though.she isn't vegan she shows everyone around her how amazing vegan food can be and destroys their prejudices.

The tea is my favorite. It's cupper's mint and licorice tea. For dessert we had apple compote with aniseed and vegan whipped cream. #yum

alilues Feels so wonderful to run my old route after what feels like two years, even if it was only like a part of it, maybe 7k. (maybe I should drink more water with my red wine or less wine in general and not have a second round of the Christmas meal at 3am...) I feel uncomfortable running in berlin, because if used to have to run next to a main street for quite a while to get to a park. So as today was a cold and stormy, yet sunny day, I had to get out, finally. It was amazing. And the after running smoothie/lunch was so.good, too (can't eat properly, as I'm getting my wisdom tooth right now and the gum is swolen ) 1.5 nanas
