alexwise Underground Hobart.

This may come as a surprise and odd to some but Hobart has some beautiful drains. This is one of my favourite drains in Hobart, after crawling through a tunnel for what feels like forever, you're eventually led to old brick work which opens up to a rock blasted tunnel. So big you could drive a truck through it. Amazing place. This is me running around like a mad man with a torch. Good times.

alexwise I was driving down south earlier last year in the hunt for some fresh apples and noticed that these old pilons had since been painted over with a shitty anarchist Circle-A tag. Such a waste to a beautiful part of the drive down the Huon.

  •   alexwise @joshbrnjacc A little here and there but it's pretty tough at the moment. Is my blog loading ok? It's been playing up lately 5d
  •   joshbrnjacc Yeah trying to access it, giving me some trouble but I'll let you know when I'm on.. And sorry to hear about that man, seriously it's sad because someone with your talent shouldn't be struggling money-wise, your work is unbeleviable 5d
  •   joshbrnjacc Do you do a side job? Or photography full time? 5d
  •   alexwise @joshbrnjacc I work full time. Ahh to be photographing full time would be amazing...! I like to use photography and exploring as an escape to get out and away from work. It's a nice balance. 4d
  •   joshbrnjacc @alexwise yes what a life! Seriously you should be doing that, but I do understand. Your talent is so amazing. So what's your full time? If you don't mind me askings 3d
  •   joshbrnjacc Sorry for so many questions it's so intriguing! 3d
  •   joefisher9999 Excuse me sir, I'm sorry to bother you, but could it be possible for me to have your username? It's fine if you want to keep it. Maybe, since you are a photographer, you could have a name such as alexwisephotography. It's fine if you don't want to lose it. Thank you. @alexwise 3d

alexwise Happy Saturday! Sticking with the #minimalism theme for the next few posts. With this one of me standing deep in a sea of fog in the Yarra Valley, Victoria.
It was quite funny/awkward taking this photo. You can't see it but there's a couple not far to the left of the frame having a picnic. They watched (and probably thought I was a weird unit) running out, standing still for a few seconds as the camera exposed then running back until I got the right shot. Ah good fun!

Have a good weekend!

alexwise It's hard not to miss that brief moment on sunrise when the first light hits Mt Wellington. Taken some time ago in 2011.

alexwise I don't know whether it's Melbourne's hot weather but I'm really craving some waterfall adventures at the moment. Bring on winter and standing knee deep in chilly streams catching leeches while taking photos.
An oldy taken in 2009 at Liffey Falls, Tasmania. One of my favourite waterfalls in Tas.

Playing around with #slowshutter and the outgoing tides.

alexwise After work trips with @iamjonathan. Standing in the middle of a jetty on a moody night in Rosebud getting odd looks from the Jim Beam hugging locals. Looking forward to more of these this year.
Shot with Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 17-40, Cokin Z-Pro graduated ND and tripod.
