alanachernila So we've lived in this house by the field for 11 years now, and somehow the field has just continued to fascinate me this year more than any other. I swear the state of things changes from hour to hour. Maybe it's that I have the dog to pull me out there multiple times a day? Or maybe (I hope!) I'm getting just a little bit better at actually seeing things? #slowdown #startwhereyouare 2h
  •   snaxbo Wow, 11 years! Doesn't seem that long. Nice Photo. 51min

  •   alanachernila @jackiestarwy smoke! From the fires? I lived in NM for years, and I'll never forget the strange disconcerting beauty of fire smoke in the summer. 2h

alanachernila This morning Joey told me someone had asked him how he was transitioning from the summer into the school year. "Transition?" he laughed. "We don't transition out of summer. We wait until the last minute and then we take summer in to a dark room and shoot it in the head." So on this last night before school for all three of them when we should be calm and focused and packing lunches, we got in the car and drove an hour to Clamp's. Goodbye summer. It's been good. 4d
