  •   m3akir @tehlilililili I respect your opinion but as @montiahmad mentioned, one of them is the grandson of the prophet and the husband of the prophets daughter. @latrell_d also mentions a few and these are among thousands of reasons. But I'm arguing the fact that hatred toward one or the other only gives life to more hatred. @latrell_d None of your arguments give you the right to hate Omar or the companions of our prophet. You talk of anger but it's not the same as hatred. And if Omar and the companions angered God (swt) then why weren't they punished directly? Also how come the prophet (saw) made imam Ali (as) take that oath? As if he knew what would happen right.. Swt! We know so little. Our lord knows best that's all I'm saying so instead of spreading this hatred based on a conflict that we know very little about and which only separates us as Muslims and builds more hatred, let us spread love. Be angry if you will but have patience and don't hate! Imam Ali (as) said "a moment of patience in a moment of anger, saves a thousands of moments of regret". We know that the prophet chose he's nearest companions and we as Muslims have to trust his decisions because in fact they are direct orders of none other then God (swt). 2mon
  •   latrell_d @m3akir - First of all have you read Imam Ali (a.s) nahjul balagha? Have you read his hundreds of sermons and teachings? Go and read sermon 3 of nahjul balagha.(The peak of eloquence). From the very mouth of Imam Ali a.s he says ( and he Abu Quhafa "Abu Bakr" stole it from me and dressed themselves with it and they milked it like the udder of a cow) in reference to the caliphate. Fatima Zahrat says regarding Fadak "Then keep Fadak until we meet on the day of judgement and Allah is the best judge and Muhammad will be my claimant" sayeedna Zainab says to Yazid in Sham "And those who paved the way for you to rule over is "ahlulbayt" will soon find out who's army is stronger". It was Omar Al khattab who had appointed Muawiyah as governed in Syria twice. First of all may god curse those who spread falsehood and say that Muhammad chose his companions to lead. For Muhammad has no right to choose and the choosing is from Allah. Muhammad only speaks of what is revealed and not of his own desires. Hadith al Thaqalain "Hold on to the book of Allah and my Ahlulbayt. My ahlulbayt my ahlulbayt." This is the truest version of the Hadith al Thaqalain. Anyone who alters this Hadith with no validity may the curse of god be on them. In over 100 narrations in Shia books and in over 30 narrations in Ahlul Sunnah books (In Sahih Muslim) it is narrated as Quran and Ahlulbayt. As imam al baqir said Allah has blessed us and called Rafida because we reject falsehood. Fear the day of judgment and do not lie to yourself. Mohammad did not choose his companions to lead. And Hadith al Thaqalain was never recognised in it's true form. 2mon
  •   m3akir No i haven't read it. My aim is to understand the holy quraan before I start reading anything written by man. And I've read it many times over. How about you with all your hatred? Allah forgive those who spread hatred due to their ignorance and forgive those who are misled into dividing Islam! I never stated that our prophet chose his companions to lead. Please read my arguments carefully and try to answer them if you can. I'm more than happy to continue this debate with you afterwards. @latrell_d 2mon

  •   ahlulbayt "O my listener! Be cured from your intoxication, wake up from your slumber, decrease your activity and ponder over what has come to you through the Holy Prophet (S), the Ummi, which is inevitable and inescapable. You should turn away from him who opposes him and leave him and leave whatever he has adopted for himself. Put off your vanity, drop your haughtiness and recall your grave because your way passes over it. You will be dealt with as you deal with others, you will reap what you sow and what you send today will meet you tomorrow. So provide for your future and send (some good deeds) for your day (of reckoning). Fear, fear, O listener! Act, act, O careless one! No one will warn you like him who knows." - Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (as) [Nahjul - Balagha; Sermon: 152] 3mon

ahlulbayt Has not the time arrived for those who believe that their hearts should feel humbled at the remembrance of Allah and at the truth which has come down to them, and that they should not become like those who were given the Book before them and the term was prolonged for them, but their hearts were hardened, and many of them are wicked? •   love.ahlulbayt @afghanlion as a Shia myself, my family and friends and most Shia I know put Allah SWT first and then the holy prophet Muhammad (pbuh). As the prophet has said, "I leave with you two things that will never leave you astray, the Quran and my AhlulBayt (as)." The AhlulBayt which starts off with Imam Ali, Lady Fatima, imam Hassan and imam Hussain. Our beloved prophet also praised Imam Ali so much. There are also many verses in the Quran that is referring to imam Ali and also ahlulbayt. This is not only from Shia scholars, but from Sunni also. 3w
  •   love.ahlulbayt May I add that Imam Ali and the Ahlulbayt are infallible. And if the holy prophet himself praised Ali, why would we not praise him? It does not mean we put him before anymore. We just love him and the prophets infallible progeny dearly. 3w
