2ndstorywindow Sometimes I can't believe this is what "going to work" looks like for me. Feeling pretty lucky. (This is a page from the set of Jargon Journals I'm thisclose to finishing!) 2h

2ndstorywindow I LOVE this book about a little cloud that realizes she can do some big things. The illustrations are sweet. And there is some excellent vocab in this one. We use this in one of our Jargon Journals (vocab teaching resource). Bit.ly/cloudette 1d

2ndstorywindow Sometimes parenting is hard. Somedays this girl (loudly) demands a lot of attention. I try to remind myself that her behavior is her trying to tell me what she needs but some moments it's hard to keep that perspective. Just when I was about at the end of my rope this afternoon I remembered KINETIC SAND and she is happily playing at the table. And now that she's being quiet I can remember that her wild personality is exactly what makes her so creative and special. Parenting. (And teaching!) Amiright? 2d

2ndstorywindow The lemonade was pretend but she still expected real "poins" as payment. (I will be so sad when she learns to say all her words the right way.) 3d
  •   2ndstorywindow Play stand from @thelandofnod 3d
  •   addiewilliams_tpt So cute!! My niece says "fortend" rather than "pretend". For example... "Is that fortend or for real?". Now the whole family says it... she will be 16 by the time she figures it out!! 3d
  •   funinroom3 Cute! My son calls Chapstick "boop boop" because the first time I put it on him I saw that as I dabbed it on his lips. That was 2 years ago and I rarely correct him because I love it! Just last night he asked for some but called it "chopstick" this time! 3d
  •   funinroom3 Said no saw! 3d
  •   kadian09 Smart girl, get the real stuff haha! 2d
  •   thesheetsfam Emmett still says, "thingers" instead of "fingers" 2d

2ndstorywindow Did you hear that Dr. Seuss books are on sale for $5 at Target? That's a good deal since they rarely go on sale. This is the only one we picked up though because I'm actually not a big fan of Dr. Seuss. 😬 Can we still be friends? #stephensonfamilylibrary 6d

2ndstorywindow Like the sensory bin, the loose parts table is a popular #preschool choice. This month we have plastic X's and O's, heart bracelets and glass heart stones. There's usually a mirror here too but it was moved. It's one of my favorite activities to play with too! 2w

2ndstorywindow Aren't Oliver Jeffers' illustrations the best? We finally read this book and it is a hoot. Addie was mesmerized by the illustrations and kept touching the page to see if the letters were real. This would be a great text for working on persuasive writing. Bit.ly/DayCrayonsQuit 2w

2ndstorywindow I am a book addict so I look for any excuse to buy the kids new additions for our library. This was Adelaide's Valentine from me. The story of a little girl and her darling doll is sweet and simple. And I love the collage style illustrations.
