2ndstorywindow 5 years ago I spent a long day laboring at the hospital. Just after midnight on April 4th our little bunny was born - on Easter Sunday. Can't believe she will be 5 tomorrow. I always feel nostalgic on my babies' birthdays. 2w

2ndstorywindow I think the humor in this one might have gone over Addie's head a bit. And she was really concerned about the jalapeños in the salsa. But she enjoyed it and I got a giggle from it! 3w

2ndstorywindow It makes me laugh every time I see this book out in my cluttered house. The book is a bit extreme (and sometimes redundant) but I am getting inspired. I should throw that Carters tag away. See? Inspired. 4w
  •   readwiththeriedemans Hahaha! Sometimes it takes baby steps to get fully on board with something. I'm the same way. Lol 4w
  •   2ndstorywindow @perrysplate no I haven't! I will definitely check it out! I do find this book inspiring but she's so extreme. When am I supposed to find time to go through everything in my whole house? The author says you must do it in a big "event" so you have an emotional response. I get what she's saying I just don't know how practical it is for me. 4w
  •   perrysplate @2ndstorywindow Ah that makes sense. But I agree with you. The only time that happens is when we're moving! 4w
  •   elissaricks I've been really wanting to read this but haven't been able to get it at the library yet and not convinced I want to buy it. I think I've heard other people talk about it so much now that I may not have to read it after all. Like reading the condensed Insta-version! 4w
  •   superinsecond Flylady has a great system that breaks decluttering into chunks. Free info on her website. I followed that system for years and years and would fall off the wagon and eventually hop back on. (I totally sound like I work for her...I really don't!) 4w
  •   lorisheetsphotography I've been mulling over another post idea and this has inspired me to go ahead and do it. You'll know it when you see it!;) I think decluttering is all about baby steps so you can gradually develop good habits. If you do it in one big event it may be emotional, but I don't know that you're setting yourself up with a solid foundation for success in the future. 4w
  •   nataliekay321 Ha! I should definitely read this book! I have one I'm reading called "Unstuff Your Life." 4w
  •   lyonspride_fitness Nice!! 4w

2ndstorywindow We have been cooped up in the house all day and stuck in the great room while closet organizers get installed in the rest of the house. We are all going a bit nuts but putting out something to keep Neil's hands busy always buys me a few peaceful minutes. 1mon

2ndstorywindow Oh, No! is a great read that allows your kids to join in with "oh,no!" throughout the book. I love a rhyming book as long as it doesn't labor the story and this one flows perfectly. Of course, our favorite part is the detailed illustrations of all the fun animals! 1mon

2ndstorywindow Are you familiar with Gyo Fujikawa? I'll be honest, the text leaves a little to be desired. But the illustrations? we had her book Let's Eat when we were kids and looking through it makes me feel like a 5 year old again! 1mon
  •   jenfolds We have a TON of these books if you ever want to browse more. My favorites. 1mon
  •   shanalovesmath It's so sad her friend is so unpredictable 1mon
  •   kiasa I had the book "Babies" by her when I was growing up and I loved it. Although, honestly, I've always thought the author was a man. 1mon
  •   elissaricks We have a very old copy of "Babies" and it is my 2 year olds favorite book! 1mon
  •   lisabrown13 I still have the "Let's Eat" book :). It was the one my mom had when I was little, and after going through seven kids, and now my three, it is a little worse for wear. It is still one of my favorites, and my kids have lived it as well :). 1mon

2ndstorywindow We discovered Little Blue Truck when we got the Christmas book. We loved it so much I had to get the original book for Neil for Valentines Day. It's a fun story about being a good friend. The rhyme flows easily and all the animal and truck noises are fun for the littlest readers. Both my 1 and 4 year old like it! 1mon
