  •   vintagechick103 Our Oregon Outlander group, Outlandia, had a fundraiser for a local food pantry that Diana's daughter and her church supports. We donated about $20,000 to Clay Street Table. It was a fantastic experience. 2d

rebeccashapiroart Just saw the sweetest wee sword dance evah! The little girl on the right is only six. They both won the battle! Am at a benefit tonite...hope I'll have time to paint a postcard. If not...tomorrow nite! 3d
  •   vab4eva Your so right, she is ssssoooo cute! 😇😇 @rebeccashapiroart What was the benefit in aid of? 3d
  •   rebeccashapiroart @vab4eva she was darling especially when she missed her step. Everyone just kept cheering her on and she got a standing ovation. It was a benefit for Clay Street Table - a little church here in Portland that feeds low income and homeless friends. They cook more than 2,000 meals a month. We raised over $20k. I went with my mom. Her favorite author, Diana Gabaldon, was the draw (hence the Scottish theme). Actually, she's one of my favorite authors, too. 2d
  •   paulbrett29 @rebeccashapiroart love this! 2d
  •   rebeccashapiroart @paulbrett29 I know! I just wanted to squeeze her when she was done. She was so focused and intense...everyone was standing and cheering at the end. 2d
  •   vab4eva Wow that church sounds as if it's doing an amazing job @rebeccashapiroart 2,000 meals that's fab 😀 Is there a Scottish connection in your area or family...as you've been to the Highland games etc? 2d
  •   rebeccashapiroart @vab4eva oh right. Yes. I recently found out I have some ancestors on my mom's side 200 years back in 1815 from Latheron, Caithness and then in 1850 from Abbottshall, Fife. They were both a Joseph McKay. But, I believe I've mentioned before my childhood love of Scotland, the land, the language and the unicorns. These latest things are just my adult explorations. 1d
  •   vab4eva @rebeccashapiroart Loving that you have looked into your past...i keep meaning 2 do that but I just know it would tale me over ha! Unicorns roam free in some of the woods up here, but they're very hard to spot. It's the Kelpies that are more elusive 😎😎 13h

rjhodde It's been four days since someone sent these flowers to me at work and I still don't know who the culprit is! The card reads: "I hope these bring a bit of joy and love to your life." Mission accomplished! 3d
