milkman10169 It was right about this time five years ago when he took his last breath. The whole family was there and "Turn the Page" by Bob Segar was playing. We all knew it was coming but none of us were ready for it when it happened. We had spent the last three years of our lives preparing for the eventual moment that the cancer took over for good. He was and still is my definition of a man. I never wanted to be like him when i grew up but I see him in me more and more everyday. Always a story to be told. Always a smile on his face. He made those around him feel special so effortlessly just because that was his way. It's been five years now and some days it feels like an eternity and others a blink of an eye. As I write this, I can't stop the tears. I miss you more than words can say but I hope I did this justice. Rest in Peace Dad. Know that you are missed. I love you. 2w
